
TCU’s Win Streak Snapped

FORT WORTH – TCU saw its four game winning streak come to an end with a 6-2 loss to Abilene Christian Tuesday night at Lupton Stadium. It was just the first home loss of the season for the Horned Frogs.
The Rundown
TCU took a 1-0 lead on a Logan Maxwell ground out in the second, but the lead evaporated in the fourth as Abilene Christian struck for four runs on just two hits. Colton Eager put the Wildcats in front for good with a one out, two run home run. Two more runs scored on a double and a sacrifice fly.
The Frogs cut into the deficit in the bottom of the inning. Gray Rodgers reached on an error to open the inning and scored on a Bobby Goodloe double to left center.
Three doubles in the sixth for the Wildcats produced two more runs as ACU opened up a 6-2 lead. TCU had a chance in the ninth after the first two batters reached, but they were stranded to end the game.
Caedmon Parker (1-1) took the loss after allowing four runs on just one hit. He walked three and struck out two in 3 1/3 innings. Caleb Bolden pitched a scoreless inning, while Tommy Vail retired all four batters he faced. Braxton Pearson made his season debut in the ninth.

100 – For the second consecutive game, a TCU player reached the 100 career hit milestone. Tommy Sacco collected his 100th career hit in the ninth inning. He accomplished the feat in 98 games played.
