Hoge becomes the first Horned Frog to win on the TOUR since 2015
FORT WORTH – TCU alum Tom Hoge captured his first win on the PGA TOUR Sunday at the 2022 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am at Pebble Beach Golf Links.
Hoge fired a 4-under 68 in the final round with four birdies in the final eight holes. His score of 19-under 268 was two strokes better than runner-up Jordan Spieth (-17).
Hoge, a native of Fargo, North Dakota who makes his home now in Fort Worth, was an All-American at TCU in 2009 after finishing third at the NCAA Championship as a sophomore. He concluded his TCU career in 2011 by being named All-Mountain West Conference and earning a spot on the PING All-Central Region Team.
With the win, Hoge became the first Horned Frog to win on the TOUR since J.J. Henry won the 2015 Barracuda Championship.
In addition to his first TOUR win, Hoge earned 500 FedExCup points and moved to second in the FedExCup Standings. He became fully exempt through the 2023-24 season and will compete in his first Masters in April.
"One thing you can count on with Tom is his toughness and determination," said TCU head coach Bill Montigel. "His mental focus is incredible and gets him out of tough situations on the course. He is a one shot at a time guy. He focuses on his next shot every time. He doesn't get rattled. He has gotten better every year he's been on Tour. I expect to see him at the top of lots of leaderboards going forward. His win today is just the beginning."
