Horned Frogs post their best round
HUMBLE, Texas -- The 20th-ranked TCU women's golf team closed play Tuesday with a 12th-place finish at the ICON Invitational in Humble, Texas.
The Horned Frogs shot a 2-over 290 for their best round in the opening tournament of the spring.
Caitlyn Macnab and Sabrina Iqbal led TCU with even-par 72s.
Macnab had an eagle on the par 4, 275-yard 10th hole to go with five birdies. The freshman from Johannesburg, South Africa, was the top TCU finisher with a tie for 30th. She has shot par or better in nine of 15 rounds this season.
Keyed by four birdies, Iqbal posted her best score of the tournament. The senior from San Jose, Calif., lowered her score in each round. She has recorded par or better in a team-best 11 rounds this year.
Caroline Jordaan had her second 73 of the tournament. She had two birdies. Valeria Pacheco used three birdies for a 73 and her best 18 holes of the event. Lois Lau had four birdies en route to a 74.

"We learned a lot this week and will come back and regroup," TCU Head Coach Angie Ravaioli-Larkin said. "We are disappointed in our performance, but this is a very good team and relentless in its pursuit of excellence."
