Team Notes
*TCU is 9-0 for the first time since 2010, when it went 13-0 en route to winning the Rose Bowl.
*Sonny Dykes is just the second head coach in TCU history, joining Francis Schmidt in 1929, to win his opening nine games. The 1929 Horned Frogs finished the season 9-0-1.
*TCU has defeated Texas Tech four seasons in a row and seven of the last nine.
*The Horned Frogs' four-game winning streak over the Red Raiders is their longest since winning five straight from 1926-30, the first five games in the series.
*TCU began a stretch of four straight November games in the state of Texas. Following today's contest, the Horned Frogs travel to Texas (Nov. 12) and Baylor (Nov. 19) before hosting Iowa State (Nov. 26).
*Nine receivers combined for the team's 12 receptions.
*TCU scored for the 376th consecutive game, the second-longest streak in NCAA history. No. 1 is Florida at 431 games (1988-present). The Horned Frogs haven't been blanked since Nov. 16, 1991, at Texas (32-0).
*TCU season captains Steve Avila, Dylan Horton, Quentin Johnston and Dee Winters took part in the coin toss.
*TCU wore a purple helmet, purple jersey and black pants.
Individual Notes
Offense
*Kendre Miller ran for a team-high 158 yards on 21 carries, his sixth 100-yard game in the last seven contests and 10th of his career.
*Miller's 2-yard touchdown gave him a rushing score in all nine games this year, the second-longest streak to begin a season in TCU history. TCU Board of Trustees member LaDainian Tomlinson ran for a touchdown in all 12 games in 2000.
*Miller's 10 consecutive games with a rushing touchdown rank second all-time at TCU, behind only Tomlinson (15, 1999-00).
*Miller has 1,009 yards on the season, making him TCU's first 1,000-yard rusher since 2016 when Kyle Hicks had 1,042.
*Miller has a team-best 12 touchdowns on the season.
*Derius Davis had a 23-yard touchdown reception, his team-best fifth of the season, as part of three catches to go with an 82-yard punt return for a touchdown.
*Davis has eight touchdowns this season via three different ways (five receiving, two punt returns, one rushing).
*Taye Barber's three receptions for 62 yards give him 145 in his career, the most by a current Horned Frog.
*Max Duggan made his 37th career start and had two touchdown passes.
*Emari Demercado had his first career receiving touchdown, a 16-yard connection with Duggan.
Defense
*Johnny Hodges led TCU with eight tackles.
*Dee Winters had 2.5 tackles for loss, including 2.0 sacks. He has team-best totals of 9.5 tackles for loss and 6.5 sacks on the season.
*Namdi Obiazor tied a career-high with seven tackles.
*Terrell Cooper and Dylan Horton combined on a sack.
*Shadrach Banks had a career-high five tackles with his first career sack.
*Tre'Vius Hodges-Tomlinson had his second interception of the season and fourth of his career, the most among current Horned Frogs.
*Millard Bradford returned to action and the starting lineup after missing the previous three games due to injury. He had five tackles, including one for loss.
*Josh Newton tied a career-high with three pass breakups to go with four tackles.
Special Teams
*Derius Davis' 82-yard punt return gave him five career punt returns for touchdowns and solo possession of the top spot in TCU history. He broke a tie with KaVontae Turpin (4, 2015-18).
*Davis also tied Turpin's TCU record of six career special teams touchdowns. Davis has five punt returns and one kickoff return for scores.
*The 82-yard punt return by Davis was seventh-longest in TCU history.
*Griffin Kell's 40- and 30-yard field goals made him 10-of-10 on the season and 39-of-49 in his career.
