TCU Director of Intercollegiate Athletics Jeremiah Donati discusses the hot topics around the Horned Frogs
Dear Horned Frogs Fans:
When FOX's Big Noon Kickoff brings its show to your campus, you know you are enjoying a special football season!
With three straight sellouts and record-breaking student attendance at each of our four home games, all of you have played a major role in our success. Coach Dykes and the student-athletes have publicly spoken about the home field advantage you have provided. Offensive lineman Steve Avila, who has been in our program five years, said it was so loud in Amon G. Carter Stadium that he could not hear his teammate next to him on the sideline. There is no doubt on the impact you have made in some of our wins.
We need that same energy in the stadium for our 11 a.m. game on Saturday versus Texas Tech. Please make sure to arrive early and take advantage of our Happy Hour specials. The Big Noon Kickoff show will begin at 9 a.m. on the Kelly Center lawn, before moving inside Amon G. Carter Stadium on the southwest concourse at 10 a.m. Click HERE for everything you need to know about the show.

EXPOSURE
As part of the Big Noon Kickoff being at TCU, we are FOX's marquee game of the day. We will also be spotlighted next Saturday at Texas with a 6:30 p.m. kickoff on ABC. We have been featured in other prime television windows over the past month and drew great numbers in viewership of our games. With the initial release of the College Football Playoff rankings and the growing buzz around Max Duggan as a Heisman Trophy candidate, it has been great to see TCU Football such a popular topic of discussion on the national college football scene.

FROGS UP
In addition to football being 8-0 and ranked seventh, we have enjoyed a tremendous start across the board to the 2022-23 athletics season! Women's soccer, ranked 17th, had a 3-0 win over Oklahoma last night in the semifinals in Round Rock and will face West Virginia for the Big 12 Conference Championship on Sunday at 1:00 p.m. on ESPNU. Volleyball is 6-5 in the Big 12, tied for fourth and very much in the mix for a postseason appearance. Like football, volleyball was picked to finish seventh in the league. Jason Williams has done a phenomenal job in his first season as head coach. We are also nationally ranked in rifle (2), equestrian (3), men's basketball (14) and men's swimming and diving (22). Under Head Coach Jamie Dixon, it is the highest men's basketball preseason ranking in our history. Women's cross country won meets as a team and with Gracie Morris individually, while women's golf had a pair of runner-up finishes this fall with Caitlyn Macnab and Sofia Barroso Sá both capturing medalist honors.
HONOR ROLL
All of our recent team successes brings about opportunities for individual accolades. Amidst the national buzz on being a candidate for the Heisman Trophy, Max Duggan was named a semifinalist for the Maxwell Award. Tre'Vius Hodges-Tomlinson is a semifinalist for the Jim Thorpe Award as the nation's top defensive back. You might recall that it was just two years ago when TCU's Tre'von Moehrig was the recipient. Steve Avila was named to midseason All-America teams by the Associated Press and ESPN. Dominic DiNunzio is a finalist for the Armed Forces Merit Award presented by the Football Writers Association of America. Dominic attends TCU on an ROTC scholarship and has a military commitment with the U.S. Army upon his graduation next month.
Women's soccer led the Big 12 Conference with 10 student-athletes receiving various conference honors. Gracie Brian, Messiah Bright, Chalyn Hubbard, Lauren Kellett and Camryn Lancaster were first-team selections with Olivia Hasler on the second team. Showing the future is just as bright as the present, we had four players on the All-Freshman Team in Seven Castain, Kennedy Clountz, Grace Coppinger and Tyler Isgrig. Additionally, Grace was selected as the Big 12 Freshman of the Year.
Equestrian saw Ashleigh Scully, Shea Graham and Giorgia Meadows named October Big 12 Riders of the Month.
Proud of all of you!

HALL OF FAME
Congratulations to Men's Golf Head Coach Bill Montigel on his selection to the Golf Coaches Association of America Hall of Fame!
During his 36 years as the leader of our men's golf program and going back even further to his time as an assistant men's basketball coach, when he recruited Jamie Dixon to attend TCU, Bill has been an unbelievable part of the campus and Fort Worth communities. I am very happy for Bill, and his family which is a big part of TCU, to be recognized in this manner.

HONORING DR. CASH
We very much look forward to next Friday, November 11, when we dedicate a statue to Dr. James Cash, the first black student-athlete at TCU and black basketball player in the Southwest Conference. He was first-team all-conference and an Academic All-American when he led us to the 1968 Southwest Conference Championship. Dr. Cash went on to teach at the Harvard Business School and become the university's first black faculty member to receive tenure. His impact on our community and our teams is impossible to measure and goes well beyond the basketball court. It is so incredible to see how our current student-athletes look up to him. They always have a great desire to listen and learn from him during his visits to campus.
FROM THE TICKET OFFICE
With our football program bowl bound, be on the lookout for a bowl game ticket request form coming soon. Included in that email will be information on the December 3rd Big 12 Championship Game at AT&T Stadium, as we have put ourselves in position to have that on our radar.
Keep It Purple mini-plans for men's basketball are on sale now. Please note this is the only way to secure tickets to the Baylor, Kansas, Texas and Texas Tech games. Call 817.257.FROG (3764) for more information.
Baseball season ticket renewals will begin November 21. In case you missed it, we recently announced our 2023 schedule which features 32 home games for our defending Big 12 Conference champions. The full slate is available HERE.

LUDACRIS AT TCU
We hope you were able to experience the memorable evening we had on October 21 when three-time Grammy Award winner Ludacris performed at Schollmaier Live, the annual preseason tipoff event for our men's and women's basketball teams. The most enjoyable part of the night was seeing the fun our student-athletes had, and not just those in our basketball programs. I am pretty confident Ludacris left campus as a true TCU fan! It was great to see so many of you enjoy his surprise appearance the next day in the Riff Ram video during our football win over Kansas State. In case you weren't able to make Schollmaier Live, click HERE for a look at some of the images that night.
THE FLYING T COLLECTION
One of the fun parts of our Homecoming weekend was the release of the limited edition Flying T Collection, in conjunction with the celebration of TCU's Sesquicentennial celebration. To no surprise, this exclusive merchandise completely sold out within days of the initial launch. We will be doing similar drops throughout the year, until the end of the 150 year celebration in Fall 2023. Stay tuned!
While The Flying T is a vintage mark for us and a significant part of our history, it will not appear on any team uniforms. The logo will only be used for retail.

DID YOU KNOW?
Over 10 million people have watched TCU football games on television this year. Our top game saw over 2.5 million tune in to the 43-40 double-overtime victory over Oklahoma State on ABC.
I'D LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU
