Swim to A&M, DIve to SMU
FORT WORTH -- Midseason is here, and TCU swim and dive are geared up for their trips to College Station, Texas and Dallas, Texas.
In the water, the Frogs will compete from Nov. 16-18 at the Art Adamson Invitational inside the Rec Center Natatorium at Texas A&M. On the boards, the dive team will travel to SMU for the SMU Diving Invite at the Robson & Lindley Aquatics Center and Barr-McMillion Natatorium / Holt Hickman Outdoor Pool from Nov. 17-19.
Last time out the Horned Frogs traveled to ranked Texas A&M, where the men's team fell 118-168 and the women's team lost 109-174. Sophomore David Ekdahl highlighted the Frogs' performance, breaking the school record in the 1-meter with a score of 398.55. Sophomore Alec Hubbard had a record day, securing the fourth spot in TCU history on the 3-meter with a score of 383.33.
In the water, senior Emma Hultquist finished with a top time of 1:50.40 in the women's 200 freestyle. Sophomore Geremia Freri concluded the outing with three second place finishes, in the 200-yard freestyle, the 500 freestyle and the 200 IM.
Two Frogs placed top three in the women's 50 freestyle with Olivia Rhodes and Lucia Simovicova placing second and third respectively.
Janis Silins placed second in the 200 breaststroke and Piotr Sadlowski secured second place in the 200 butterfly. Raphael Paiva Da Lima raced to a silver medal finish with Dusan Babic finishing in third.
