FORT WORTH – For the second time in her career, Lauren Kellett has been named the Big 12 Goalkeeper of the Week. This is the first time this season Kellett has earned the award.
In TCU's lone contest last week at Oklahoma State, Kellett tallied three saves en route to TCU's 3-0 over the Cowgirls. She recorded her sixth shutout of the season and currently sits tied for second in the Big 12 in shutouts.
Kellett has held opponents to just one goal over the past five games. She is third in the Big 12 in save percentage (.810) and is TCU's program leader in GAA (0.69). The 2021 Big 12 Goalkeeper of the Year has been instrumental in the Horned Frogs remaining undefeated in conference play.
No. 10 TCU (9-2-4, 4-0-2 Big 12) continues conference play at Oklahoma (7-5-3, 2-3-1 Big 12) at 7 p.m. Thursday in Norman, Okla. The Frogs are currently on a nine-game unbeaten streak (6-0-3). The contest will be televised on Big 12 Now on ESPN+.
