Horned Frogs set to open 2021-22 season with scrimmage next Friday
WACO, Texas – The TCU equestrian program has been ranked No. 6 in the National Collegiate Equestrian Association preseason poll, as announced Tuesday.
TCU finds itself ranked inside the top-10 for the ninth straight year and has been a part of the preseason poll every year since the formation of the NCEA. The program set a new single-season school record with seven All-America honors last season, surpassing the program's previous high of six in 2013 and 2015. The program competed in its 14th National Championship last season; the equestrian program has made the championship every year since its inception in 2006-07.
The Frogs will kick off their season with a scrimmage, hosting Tarleton State on Sep. 24, at Diamond Creek Ranch. TCU will then open the regular season that following Friday, Oct. 1, at No. 7-ranked Fresno State.
