Humphreys Signs Free Agent Deal With Angels

Senior was an all-conference performer this season
FORT WORTH – TCU baseball senior catcher Zach Humphreys has inked a free agent deal with the Los Angeles Angels.
Humphreys spent his entire career in the Purple and White. He played in 201 games, making 177 starts. A career .276 hitter, he racked up 39 doubles, eight triples and 11 home runs while driving in 127 runs. This past season, Humphreys put together an all-conference season, setting career highs in hits (68), doubles (15), home runs (6), RBIs (40) and stolen bases (9).
Humphreys was a 2019 26th round draft by the Milwaukee Brewers but elected to return for his senior campaign.
Six Horned Frogs were drafted this season led by Russell Smith's selection in the second round by the Brewers. Also drafted were Johnny Ray (12th round, Chicago White Sox), Phillip Sikes (18th round, Boston Red Sox), Harrison Beethe (18th round, Kansas City Royals), Marcelo Perez (20th round, Los Angeles Angels) and Haylen Green (20th round, Chicago White Sox).
