Horned Frogs hosting for eighth time in program history
FORT WORTH - The NCAA announced today that TCU will be one of the 16 regional site hosts for next weekend's NCAA Regionals which are slated to begin Friday.
The nationally-ranked and Big 12 regular season champion Horned Frogs will be making their 15th appearance in the last 17 postseasons and are hosting for the eighth time in program history. TCU is one of just five programs nationally to be hosting an NCAA Regional for the eighth time in the last 12 postseasons (Florida, Florida State, Louisville and LSU).
Each regional field features four teams, playing a double-elimination format. All 16 regionals are scheduled to be conducted from Friday, June 4 to Monday, June 7.
The field of 64 will be announced on Monday at 11 a.m. in a show airing on ESPN2. Fans are welcome to join the Frogs in the Legends Club & Suites located on the second floor of the east side of Amon G. Carter Stadium for a selection show watching party. Doors open at 10:45 a.m.
By virtue of being awarded a regional, all 16 host institutions have also been selected to the 64-team field.
Tickets will initially be sold as All-Session reserved and general admission packages only. This package includes tickets to each game with a maximum of seven (7) possible games. Currently, they are available to season ticket holders only and must be purchased by 5 p.m. on Tuesday, June 1.
All-Session reserved prices are $75 each and $60 each for GA. This is a substantial savings as single game tickets---if available after expected high demand for All-Sessions---will not be sold until the first game and will be $30 and $20 each. All seats in Lupton Stadium will be sold as reserved seats, and General Admission will be in the outfield down the first base line and right field. If available, single game tickets will go on sale at 10:30 a.m. each game day.
If all-session reserved seat packages remain, they will be available to the general public Wednesday morning beginning at 10:30 a.m. at GoFrogs.com. Call 817-257-3764 to purchase your tickets.
