TCU begins at 9:27 a.m. CT time
FORT WORTH – TCU will compete in its 22nd NCAA Men's Golf Championships starting on Friday at Grayhawk Golf Club in Scottsdale, Ariz.
TCU will go with the lineup of sophomore Mateo Fernández de Oliveira, sophomore Jacob Skov Olesen, freshman Filippo Celli, sophomore Gustav Frimodt and sophomore Aymeric Laussot. All five are getting their first postseason after last season was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
All 30 teams will play 18-hole rounds on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. At the end of the 54 holes, the top 15 teams and nine individuals not on an advancing team will be determined. That is followed by a final day of 18 holes of stroke play on Monday to determine the top eight teams that will advance to match play as well as the 72-hole individual champion. The team national champion will be determined by a match-play format that will consist of quarterfinals and semifinals conducted on Tuesday, Followed by the finals on Wednesday.
TCU's tee time on Friday is at 9:27 a.m. CT with Oregon State and UAB. The Frogs' second round on Saturday will begin at 2:47 p.m. CT with the same teams.
Spectators are allowed to attend and admission is free.

THE COURSE – Par 70 | 7,289 yards
The Tom Fazio-designed Raptor course offers thrilling challenges that command players' respect through a high-stakes game of risk and reward. The course unfolds over gentle hills and across shaded natural arroyos found in this picturesque corner of the Sonoran Desert. This is the first of three consecutive years that Grayhawk will host the NCAA Championships.
LAST TIME OUT
TCU finished fifth at the Tallahassee NCAA Regional on May 19. For the second consecutive tournament, the Horned Frogs' best round was their final round as they shot 6-under 282 and lowered their overall score to 9-under 210. Jacob Skov Olesen finished tied for eighth at 6-under 210.
NOTES
- TCU has played well over the past four tournaments. The Frogs finished second at the Wyoming Cowboy Classic on April 6, first at the Thunderbird Classic on April 17 and fourth at the Big 12 Championship on April 28 before their fifth-place finish at regionals. TCU was named Golfweek's men's college team of the week after winning the Thunderbird Collegiate.
- TCU has played well in the Scottsdale area this season. At the Wyoming Cowboy Classic at Whirlwind Golf Club, TCU was 27-under. At the Thunderbird Collegiate at Papago Golf Course, TCU was 34-under.
- It is the first time TCU will play in the state of Arizona for the NCAA Championship.
- TCU's 22 NCAA Championship appearance ranks as the fourth most among Big 12 Conference programs.
- TCU has qualified for four of the last six and eight of the last 12 NCAA Championships. TCU has advanced to 18 of 31 NCAA Championships since 1991.

- Celli leads the team with a stroke average of 71.47 (+0.37). The freshman was TCU's top finisher at the Big 12 Championship (+6).
- Mateo Fernández de Oliveira is ranked 94th in the latest World Amateur Golf Rankings. He ranks third on the team with a stroke average of 72.04.
- Jacob Skov Olesen was TCU's top finisher at its regional and is second on the team with an average score of 71.74. He leads the Frogs with 17 rounds of par or better and nine rounds of sub-70. Olesen has shot under par in 12 of his last 14 rounds. He won co-medalist honors at The Prestige on Feb. 17 and has had four top 10 finishes.
- TCU jumped up 25 spots over the past three weeks in the latest GolfStat rankings to No. 37, a season best.
- TCU was saddened in November with the sudden passing of longtime volunteer assistant Dana Bellenger. In December, TCU announced the creation of the Dana Bellenger Endowed Scholarship for Men's Golf. Bellenger's initials "DB" will be visible on TCU's hat throughout the season.
- Bill Montigel is in his 41st season at TCU and his 34th season as the head coach of TCU men's golf. Associate Head Coach Adrien Mork is in his fourth season at TCU.
