
TCU Moves Up to Sixth Heading into Final Round

TCU begins the final round at 7:30 a.m. CT
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – TCU moved up two places to sixth after the second round of the NCAA Regional Tuesday at Seminole Legacy Golf Club.
The Horned Frogs were in fourth place for much of the day, but ran into a tough back nine including the last few holes to fall to sixth with an overall score of 3-under 573. TCU shot 5-under 283, seven shots better than its opening round.
With the goal to be in the top five and advance to the NCAA Championship, Wednesday's final round will begin with nine strokes separating teams currently in fourth through eighth. TCU (-3) is four shots behind Ohio State (-7).
Jacob Skov Olesen leads the way for the Horned Frogs at 3-under 141. Olesen's round of 1-under 71 was the 11th time in the last 13 rounds he's gone under par. Included in the 71 was a bogey-free front nine score of 3-under 33.
Also taking advantage of the more manageable front nine was Filippo Celli. After an opening bogey, the Italian made four birdies for a 3-under 33. He evened his score with a 3-over 39 on the back and sits in a tie for 18th place at 2-under 142.
Gustav Frimodt had the Frogs' best round of the day. His team-best six birdies helped him to a round of 3-under 69. Frimodt moved up the leaderboard 30 spots to a tie for 35th at 2-over 146.
Also in 35th place is Mateo Fernández de Oliveira after a round of 1-under 71.
TCU will be paired with Georgia and Ohio State for Wednesday's final round, which will begin at 7:30 a.m. ET off hole No. 10.
