TCU begins at 8:25 a.m. CT
FORT WORTH – TCU's men's golf team will compete in its 31st consecutive NCAA Regional starting on Monday at Seminole Legacy Golf Club in Tallahassee, Fla.
TCU will go with the lineup of sophomore Mateo Fernández de Oliveira, sophomore Jacob Skov Olesen, freshman Filippo Celli, sophomore Gustav Frimodt and sophomore Aymeric Laussot. All five will be playing in their first NCAA Regional.
The Horned Frogs will play 18 holes on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. As the No. 7 seed, TCU will be paired with No. 8 seed Indiana and No. 9 seed Kansas on Monday with an 8:25 a.m. CT tee time on hole No. 1.
At the conclusion of the tournament, the top five teams and top individual not on a qualifying team will participate in the NCAA Championship, held May 28 – June 2 at Grayhawk Golf Club in Scottsdale, Ariz.
Spectators are permitted and the event is free of charge.

THE COURSE – Par 72 | 7,505 yards
Originally opened in 1962, Seminole Legacy Golf Club recently underwent a $10 million renovation of all golf facilities. The course offers surprising elevation changes of up to 50 feet, and offers stunning visuals highlighted by 100-year-old live oaks and stately pine trees. It is the home of Florida State men's and women's golf.
LAST TIME OUT
TCU finished fourth at the Big 12 Championship on April 28. In the final round, the Horned Frogs shot a tournament-best 10-under 270 and finished only behind No. 1 ranked Oklahoma, No. 4 Oklahoma State and No. 7 Texas. Freshman Filippo Celli finished sixth and sophomore Mateo Fernández de Oliveira was ninth to lead the Frogs.
NOTES
- TCU and Clemson are the only two programs in the country that have qualified for the last 31 NCAA Regionals under the same head coach.
- Of the 31-straight regional appearances, this is the first time TCU will compete in the state of Florida. Texas is the most frequent state for the Frogs with six.
- In its last NCAA Regional, TCU was seeded fifth and finished in second place at the UT Golf Club in Austin, Texas. Stefano Mazzoli tied for first place.
- TCU has qualified for the NCAA Championship in three of the last five seasons it has been held. The last appearance was in 2019 where the Frogs finished 15th.
- Celli and Fernández de Oliveira were both named to the Big 12 All-Tournament Team with their top 10 finishes at the conference tournament.
- Thomas Allkins, Trevor Brown and Justin Gums were named First Team Academic All-Big 12 Conference. Fernández de Oliveira, Frimodt and Chris Berzina were named Second Team Academic All-Big 12.
- TCU has played well over the past three tournaments. The Frogs finished second at the Wyoming Cowboy Classic on April 6, first at the Thunderbird Classic on April 17 and fourth at the Big 12 Championship on April 28. TCU was named Golfweek's men's college team of the week after winning the Thunderbird Collegiate.
- In eight stroke play tournaments this season, five different golfers have led the Horned Frogs. Celli and Olesen have been the team's top finisher three times each. Over the past five tournaments, Celli and Olesen have alternated as TCU's top finisher.
- Celli leads the team with a stroke average of 71.50 (+0.56). The freshman was TCU's top finisher at the Big 12 Championship (+6).
- Mateo Fernández de Oliveira is ranked 94th in the latest World Amateur Golf Rankings. He ranks third on the team with a stroke average of 72.04.
- Jacob Skov Olesen is second on the team with an average score of 71.72. He leads the Frogs with 14 rounds of par or better and eight rounds of sub-70. Olesen has shot under par in nine of his last 11 rounds. He won co-medalist honors at The Prestige on Feb. 17 and has had three top 10 finishes.
- TCU jumped up 22 spots over the past two weeks in the latest GolfStat rankings to No. 40, a season best.
- TCU was saddened in November with the sudden passing of longtime volunteer assistant Dana Bellenger. In December, TCU announced the creation of the Dana Bellenger Endowed Scholarship for Men's Golf. Bellenger's initials "DB" will be visible on TCU's hat throughout the season.
- Bill Montigel is in his 41st season at TCU and his 34th season as the head coach of TCU men's golf. Associate Head Coach Adrien Mork is in his fourth season at TCU.
