
TCU Earns NCEA National Championship Bid

Frogs have appeared in every championship since program started
WACO, Texas – The TCU equestrian program is in to the NCEA National Championship and has earned the No. 6 seed, announced NCEA Director Dr. Leah Fiorentino Tuesday afternoon. It is the programs 14th National Championship, the equestrian program has made the championship every year since its inception in 2006-07.
TCU will face No. 3 Georgia in the opening round of the Championship, which is slated to begin Thursday, April 15, at the Extraco Event Center in Waco, Texas.

"I am excited for our team to have another opportunity to compete against very high-level competition. Our group learned a lot from this last weekend and we are hungry after the way everything ended up. We know the competition will be fierce, but I am confident in our girls and our team."
The Horned Frogs (6-5) are tied for their highest seed in the championship. TCU is 3-2 as a six-seed and made it to the National Championship before falling to No. 1 Auburn, 7-8.
TCU and Georgia will match up for only the second time in the postseason. TCU downed Georgia 10-5 in the semifinals to reach the National Championship in 2016.
