"This is such an honor for our girls. They have worked so hard all year from day one and I could not be more proud of them. I know they will continue to grow and better themselves, but this is a fantastic accolade for our team."
Jessica McAllister becomes the first freshman in TCU history to earn Big 12 Rider of the Year honors. McAllister posted a 6-2-1 record on the season with a 4-1 mark in Big 12 action. She earned two MOPs on the year coming against Fresno State in a neutral ride at SMU, the second came at Oklahoma State on March 13.
Mattie Dukes becomes the first Reining Rider of the Year from TCU since Chantz Steward won it in 2017. The sophomore was undefeated in Big 12 play with four wins. She earned three MOPs on the season, which ties for the team high. Dukes becomes the 11th Frog named to the All-Big 12 Reining team, the highest total of all four events.
Jacey Albaugh garnered All-Big 12 Flat Team recognition. She finished the year 6-2-2 and tallied the second-highest score in program history with a ride of 96 against Lynchburg on March 11. She earned two MOPs on the season and was 4-2 in conference play.
Alex Beneson received the first All-Big 12 nod of her career in Fences. The senior tied for the team lead in both wins and MOPs with seven and three, respectively. Beneson averaged a score of 79.4 in her rides and posted a season-high of 87 against Baylor on March 11.
Anna Hauter was the final Frog to earn All-Big 12 honors for Horsemanship. She was 6-2 on the season with a 3-1 Big 12 record. She earned a pair of MOPs against South Dakota State and again against Baylor in her final ride at Diamond Creek Ranch. Hauter posted a new career-high, scoring a 76.5 on the road at Baylor on Feb. 6.
The Frogs await their seed for the NCEA National Championship that will be decided by committee soon.
