Horned Frogs recognized for their win over Baylor
DALLAS -- The Football Writers Association of America selected TCU as the Cheez-It Bowl National Team of the Week after its 30-28 victory over No. 12 Baylor on Saturday.
It's the seventh time the Horned Frogs have received the honor from the FWAA, and the first since 2017.
Chandler Morris, making his first career start, totaled 531 yards of offense (461 passing, 70 rushing). The Horned Frogs had 562 as a team, their most since 2019. The defense also came up big with a pair of turnovers, including Shadrach Banks' interception at the TCU 28 with 1:03 remaining to preserve the win.
TCU defeated Baylor for the sixth time in the last seven seasons.
