TCU Has Two in First Monthly Big 12 Honors

Horned Frogs honored in Horsemanship and Reining
IRVING, Texas – The TCU equestrian team had two riders honored in the Big 12's first set of Rider of the Month awards, the league office announced today. TCU's honorees included Jessica McAllister in Horsemanship and Mattie Dukes in Reining.
McAllister received October NCEA Horsemanship Rider of the Month accolades and is undefeated on the season with three MOPs under her belt. The sophomore is averaging a 4.5-win margin through the first seven meets with six of her wins coming on the road.
Dukes was named Co-Reining Rider of the Month as she is 5-2 on the season with two MOPs in the event. The junior has four of her five wins coming on the road and had an average win margin of 2.3.
"These athletes are very deserving, hard working young women," Head Western Coach Melissa Dukes said. "I'm proud of their dedication and determination of the successes of this team and to TCU! Congratulations ladies!"
TCU's two honorees, along with the rest of the Horned Frogs, will be back in action this Friday, Nov. 5 taking on No. 3 Baylor. The meet is set to begin at 10 a.m. at Diamond Creek Ranch.
