Wuilliez Collects First Big 12 Honor of Season
IRVING, Texas – Behind the Frogs' stellar performance at the Art Adamson Invitational, Jadon Wuilliez and Rylee Moore have both been named Big 12 Newcomers of the Week.
At the Art Adamson Invitational, Wuilliez broke the 50 freestyle school record and was also part of the record-breaking 200 and 400 freestyle relay teams. His time of 19.83 in the 50 freestyle was good for fifth overall and earned him his first B cut of the season in the event.
The 200 freestyle relay team swam a school-record time of 1:18.76 and the 400 freestyle relay team clocked a record-breaking time of 2:52.39, earning the 400 freestyle relay squad of Wuilliez, Noah Cumby, Dusan Babic and Raphael Paiva Da Lima a provisional cut.
Wuilliez also notched two B cuts in the 100 breaststroke and finished fifth in the 100 breaststroke final.
Moore earned Co-Newcomer of the Week honors after she kicked off the Art Adamson Invitational by breaking the school record in the 100 backstroke with a time of 53.71. She was also part of the record-breaking 200 and 400 medley relay teams with times of 1:40.02 and 3:39.14, respectively.
She notched three B cuts in the 100 backstroke and placed third in the 100 backstroke finals.
