Baseball To Host Texas Rangers Instructional Team Oct. 29

Game set for 6 p.m. at Lupton Stadium
FORT WORTH – The TCU baseball team is in the midst of fall practice under the guidance of new head coach Kirk Saarloos. As part of fall camp, TCU has once again teamed with the Texas Rangers for a fall contest between the Horned Frogs and the Rangers Instructional team. The contest is slated for Oct. 29 at Lupton Stadium. The game will be open to the public, free of charge and is set to begin at 6 p.m.
Texas' Instructional League program in Surprise, Arizona began workouts on September 27 and is currently playing a 17-game schedule against IL teams from the Dodgers, Guardians, Padres, Reds, Royals, and White Sox organizations that continues through Friday, October 22.
The Instructional League team breaks camp on Sunday, October 24 and a roster of approximately 40 playerswill travel to Texas for the contest which is one of four games the Rangers will play against Division I programs.
TCU is coming off a 2021 campaign that saw it earn both the regular season and tournament titles. The Frogs finished with a 41-19 overall record and a 17-7 mark in Big 12 play. TCU returns 26 members from last year's squad, while welcoming in the 12th ranked recruiting class.
