TCU begins the second round at 9:50 a.m. Saturday
ALPHARETTA, Ga. – Senior Thomas Allkins led TCU in the first round of the Golf Club of Georgia Collegiate Invitational.
It was Allkins' first team stroke-play tournament for the Frogs in two seasons, nearly to the day. His last team competition was the 2019 Golf Club of Georgia Collegiate Invitational. The Keller, Texas native shot 2-under 70 and is in a tie for 14th place. In 2019, Allkins led TCU for the tournament at even-par 216 following an opening round of 70.
Gustav Frimodt and Jacob Skov Olesen both shot 2-over 74 and are tied for 46th place. Olesen carded an eagle on the par 4 No. 15 hole.
In a tournament with eight teams ranked in the top 25, the Horned Frogs are in 14th place at 8-over 296.
TCU will start the second round Saturday at 9:50 a.m. CT.
