Stanford to Play in Skins Match at ANA Inspiration

TCU Hall of Famer can be seen Wednesday afternoon on Golf Channel

FORT WORTH -- TCU women's golf legend Angela Stanford will play in a charity skins match on Wednesday as part of the 2020 ANA Inspiration.

Stanford will be paired with Christina Kim against Katherine Kirk and Amy Olson in the event to support Eisenhower Health. It will be televised live today at 6 p.m. CDT on Golf Channel.

When ANA Inspiration play begins Thursday in Rancho Mirage, Calif., Stanford will be looking for her second major title. She won the 2018 Evian Championship, one of her six LPGA victories. She has competed in six Solheim Cups, including earning the winning point for Team USA in 2015. She has been named assistant captain for the 2021 USA Solheim Cup Team.

Stanford is TCU's only four-time All-American. She won a school record 10 tournaments as a Horned Frog. Her four titles as a senior, including the 2000 Western Athletic Conference Championship, set a TCU season mark. She was also the 1999 WAC Player of the Year.
