Bane, Fuller Earn Weekly Big 12 Honors

Both Frogs led TCU to a win over No. 2 Baylor Saturday
FORT WORTH – Desmond Bane and PJ Fuller earned weekly honors from the Big 12 Conference Monday.
Bane was named Big 12 Player of the Week for the first time this season and the second time in his career. Fuller was named Big 12 Newcomer of the Week.
Bane scored 23 points, 19 in the second half, to lead TCU to its biggest home win in program history, 75-72, over No. 2 Baylor. Bane was 7-of-8 from the field in the second half, including 5-of-5 from 3-point range. With the game tied, Bane scored eight straight points with under six minutes to play which was part of a 13-0 TCU run. It put the Frogs up by 13 points with 1:19 remaining, which was BU's largest deficit of the season. Bane recorded a double-double on Tuesday with 22 points and a career-high 11 rebounds at Iowa State for a weekly average of 22.5 points, 8.0 rebounds and 4.5 assists.
Fuller scored a career-high 21 points in the win over No. 2 Baylor. The freshman guard scored 17 of those points in the second half and was 5-of-7 from the field. He was 7-of-12 for the game. Fuller scored 10 points at Iowa State in the midweek game and averaged 15.5 points and 3.5 assists for the week.
Texas' Andrew Jones was also named Big 12 Player of the Week.
TCU returns to action Wednesday at No. 1 Kansas at 7 p.m. on Big 12 Now on ESPN+.
