
Christopherson One Off Lead After Two

Frogs begin the final round at 9 a.m. CT
PALM DESERT, Calif. – Freshman Caden Christopherson will begin the final round of the Wyoming Desert Intercollegiate one stroke off the lead after the second round concluded Saturday at the Classic Club in Palm Desert, Calif.
Competing as an individual, Christopherson made five birdies and shot a 2-under 70. The Chandler, Ariz., native is 5-under 139 for the tournament and is tied for second with three others. Oregon's Tom Gueant remains the tournament leader at 6-under 138.
Freshman Mateo Fernández de Oliveira also shot 2-under 70 and is tied for ninth at 3-under 141. His score was helped by a 3-under 33 back nine that included an eagle on the No. 14 par 5. Freshman Aymeric Laussot is tied for 23rd at 1-under 143. He shot 1-over 73 on Saturday.
TCU's best round of the day was by Gustav Frimodt. The freshman shot 3-under 69, a seven-stroke improvement from Friday. He moved up 51 places and is tied for 30th with a score of 1-over 145.
The Frogs moved up four spots to tie for sixth place with a score of 1-over 577. No. 19-ranked Auburn leads the 21-team field at 13-under 563.
