Baseball Earns Preseason Recognition

Green named a preseason All-American
FORT WORTH – The TCU baseball team was ranked No. 19 by Collegiate Baseball in its preseason Fab 40 poll. This marks the 12th straight year the Horned Frogs have been ranked in the preseason. Additionally, Haylen Green, a 2020 second-team All-American, was named a preseason first-team All-American.
The Horned Frogs were off to an 11-4 start to the 2020 campaign when the season abruptly shut down. TCU swept Kentucky and Cal, while taking a series at Minnesota in addition to a victory at No. 2 UCLA.
The 2021 team returns all eight seniors from last year's squad in addition to welcoming the 13th-ranked recruiting class. All nine starters return in addition to the entire starting rotation.
Green was off to a fabulous start in 2020. He made a team-leading eight appearances out of the bullpen. His 17 2/3 scoreless innings streak to open the season ranked third in the NCAA. He finished the year with a 1-0 record with one save.
Jim Schlossnagle will be entering his 18th season at the helm of the program. He has taken TCU to 14 NCAA tournaments and five College World Series. He has a career record of 770-374 and a mark of 693-327 at TCU.
