Bramschreiber was named First Team Under Armour All-American
FORT WORTH – TCU Volleyball and head coach Jill Kramer have signed Cecily Bramschreiber to the 2021 roster this week. Bramschreiber is an outside hitter from Lucas, Texas and Lovejoy High School. She was named First Team Under Armour All-American earlier this week by the American Volleyball Coaches Association.
"Cecily is a fierce competitor with an exceptional all-around skill set and a ton of grit," head coach Kramer said. "She has an outstanding volleyball IQ and is a true student of the game. We are excited to add her to our TCU volleyball family."
TCU is one of only two schools in the Big 12 to land a first team All-American, along with Kansas. This is the third first team AVCA All-American signing in program history, with all three coming in the Jill Kramer era. TCU has now signed at least one player from the Under Armour All-American list (either first team, second team or honorable mention) for seven consecutive years.
Cecily Bramschreiber | DS/OH | 5'9" | Lucas, Texas | Lovejoy HS
Bramschreiber joins TCU after an illustrious high school career at Lovejoy HS and Madfrog Volleyball club. She played mostly at outside hitter for her high school, where she holds the Lovejoy HS record for kills in a career and was named 2019 Dallas Morning News Hitter of the Year and Class 10-5-A State tournament MVP. She was named 2020 MaxPrep Pre-Season All American for her hitting and defensive prowess, leading to her AVCA Under Armour All-American first team selection earlier this week. Bramschreiber's excellent versatility will be a valuable asset for TCU, as she has proven herself to be a potent presence on both the offensive and defensive side of the net.
Her work off the court has been impressive as well. Bramschreiber was a three-time Academic All-District selection in high school. She is well aware of what it takes to win in the Big 12., her older sister Shanel is a junior DS/L for Baylor. She is the daughter of Nicole and Dan Bramschreiber and plans to major in interior design at TCU.
