Team Notes
* Since beginning Big 12 play in 2012, TCU is 7-2 against Texas and 4-1 in Austin.
* Since 1996, TCU's Gary Patterson ranks No. 1 nationally among all head coaches past and present in winning percentage (.700, 7-3) against Texas with a minimum of five games played.
* Patterson has 27 wins against ranked opponents during his TCU tenure, including 12 victories over top-10 teams.
* TCU is 44-18 in regular-season games following a loss under Patterson.
* TCU rushed for 226 yards and is 96-8 under Patterson when running for at least 200 yards.
* The Horned Frogs were plus one in turnover margin. Since 2005, TCU is 116-18 when ahead (79-9) or even (39-9) in that category.
* TCU had a 34:51 to 25:09 edge in time of possession and is 127-32 under Patterson when leading in that category.
* A 50-yard pass completion from Max Duggan to Quentin Johnston was TCU's longest play of the season.
* TCU scored for the 347th consecutive game. It's the nation's second-longest current streak and fourth all-time in NCAA history. The Horned Frogs haven't been blanked since Nov. 16, 1991, at Texas (32-0).
* TCU's team captains were Taye Barber, Max Duggan, Trevon Moehrig and Garret Wallow. Wallow was on the field for the coin toss. It was Duggan's first game as a captain.
* TCU wore a black helmet with a white jersey and black pants.
Individual Notes
Offense
* Max Duggan totaled 310 yards of offense as he was 20-of-30 passing for 231 yards while rushing for a team-best 79 yards and two touchdowns on 17 carries.
* Taye Barber's team-high seven receptions were one shy of a career best.
* Barber added a key 9-yard gain on a 3rd-and-7 carry from the TCU 4 on the game's final possession, enabling the Horned Frogs to run out the clock and seal the victory.
* True freshman Kendre Miller had a career-high 67 yards rushing on 10 carries with a long of 28.
* Fellow true freshman Quentin Johnston totaled a team-best and career-high 70 yards receiving on three catches, including a 50-yard grab.
* Blair Conwright had a career-long 34-yard reception on the final play of the third quarter. He finished with two catches for 42 yards.
* Conwright and John Stephens Jr. made their first collegiate starts.
* Darwin Barlow's 1-yard first quarter scoring run was his first touchdown of the season and second of his career.
Defense
* Garret Wallow forced a fumble at the TCU 1-yard line with 2:32 to play. It was his second straight game with a forced fumble. He also totaled six tackles.
* Corey Bethley had the fumble recovery after Wallow's force.
* La'Kendrick Van Zandt had his first interception of the season and second of his career. It's his second straight game with a takeaway. He had a 24-yard fumble return for a touchdown last week against Iowa State.
* Van Zandt finished with a career-high and team-best seven tackles, including one for loss.
* True freshman Khari Coleman made his first career start and had a tackle for loss as part of three stops in the game.
* Tre'Vius Hodges-Tomlinson had three pass breakups.
* Noah Daniels had two PBUs.
Special Teams
* Griffin Kell had field goals of 27, 32, 49 yards and 28 yards, his first four makes of the season, and is now 4-of-5 on the year and 7-of-9 in his career.
* Kell's four field goals are the most in a game since Jonathan Song had four in last season's 33-31 win at Texas Tech.
* Jordy Sandy had a season-long 54-yard punt to go along with a 51-yard boot. He now has 11 punts of at least 50 yards in his career.
