Skinner Places Second at CSCAA Open Water Nationals

Freshmen pace the way for TCU
LAWRENCE, Kan. - Freshman Nick Skinner garnered a second-place finish at the 2019 CSCAA Open Water Nationals.
Skinner nearly swam the 5k in under an hour with a mark of 1:00:05.7. Fellow freshman Charles Millette was next for TCU, claiming 11th place with a time of 1:03:12.8. Kevin Chao and Michael Chwaluk posted 14th and 15th place finishes, respectively.
All four Frogs on the men's side placed in the top 15, with the field consisting of 54 men overall.
Two TCU women positioned themselves in the top 20. Freshman Abigail Meder led the way, swimming a 1:06:30.6 en route to 16th place. Megan Morris crossed the finish line next in 19th place at 1:07:18.3. The women's competition was composed of 80 swimmers.
TCU sent eight swimmers, four men and four women, to compete at Open Water Nationals.
As a team, TCU's men placed third while the women ranked seventh.

Next up for the Frogs is a dual home meet against the UT Permian Basin Falcons.
