Amon G. Carter Stadium Beer Sales FAQs
8/6/2019 8:20:00 AM | General
Why is TCU now offering beer sales for the general public at its games?
TCU has offered alcohol sales for several years in club and suite areas inside Amon G. Carter Stadium, Schollmaier Arena and Lupton Stadium. In keeping with national trends, we are now offering beer to the general public at TCU football games. Beer sales have been a success at Lupton Stadium the last two seasons.
TCU is always looking to enhance the fan experience, and beer sales have been a popular request through the years. After our latest season-ticket holder survey, the timing is now right.
Why can't I re-enter the stadium like I always have?
In benchmarking other institutions, and anticipating trends in large venues, the elimination of the in-and-out policy is the safe action to take.
When will beer sales open and close?
Sales will begin when gates open two (2) hours before kickoff, and conclude at the start of the fourth quarter.
Will bottles or cans be available?
Aluminum bottles will be available.
Where do I go to purchase a beer?
Beer sales will take place at all concession stands throughout the stadium.
What are the beer prices?
All beer will be available for $7. We are working with Miller Coors and Andrews Distributing on the selections.
Can students buy beer?
TCU policy is to check the ID of any person who looks under the age of 30. If students present a valid ID proving they are 21 years of age, they are permitted to purchase a beer.
What are you going to do with unruly fans?
As always, anyone creating a disturbance or taking away the enjoyment of the game for others will be subject to removal from the stadium by security. Fans can download the FrogShield app, allowing you to report safety concerns with photos/videos as well as contact the TCU Police quickly and directly.
Will accommodations be made for those who are unable to drive?
TCU Athletics, through its partners Miller Coors and Andrews Distributing, will be offering a designated driver program. Stay tuned for details that will be communicated prior to the first game.
