Mörk begins his third season on TCU's staff
FORT WORTH, Texas – TCU head men's golf coach Bill Montigel announced the promotion of Adrien Mörk to associate head coach.
Mörk, who will begin his third season with the Horned Frogs, spent the last two seasons as an assistant coach.
"Adrien has been an invaluable asset to our program," said Montigel. "He is an excellent recruiter and has a tremendous ability to help our guys improve their game. It's evident that we are a better program with Adrien a part of it."
With the assistance of Mörk, the Frogs had a breakout 2018-19 season which they finished a program-best second at the Big 12 Conference Championship, second at the NCAA Austin Regional and 15th at the NCAA Championships.
TCU also won the Lake Charles Invitational (-36) and the Tiger Invitational (-32) this past season, which featured the best and second-best scores vs. par in TCU history.
"I am very fortunate to work with an experienced coach in Bill Montigel," said Mörk. "I have learned a lot from him and look forward to learning more. We have worked hard the past few years and have the program going in the right direction. TCU has been great to me. I'm very fortunate to be at a place that supports our program and provides everything we need to be successful."
Under Mörk, Stefano Mazzoli earned All-Big 12 and Third Team All-America honors and Hayden Springer won the Big 12 Championship. Mazzoli was also named PING All-Central Region for the second consecutive season to join Springer and David Ravetto, who also earned all-region honors this past year.
In the summer of 2018, Mörk was named an assistant coach for the Arnold Palmer Cup's International Team.
TCU will begin the 2019-20 season at the Carmel Cup at Pebble Beach on Friday.
