
TCU Tabbed No. 3 Seed; Will Head To Arkansas

TCU will face Cal on Friday night
FORT WORTH, Texas - The NCAA Baseball Regional brackets were announced Monday on ESPNU. The TCU Horned Frogs will head to Fayetteville, Ark. for the Regional hosted by Arkansas. The Frogs will be the region's three-seed and face the two-seeded Cal Bears. Game time on Friday is set for 6 p.m. All games in that regional will be seen on ESPN3.
The other game in the Fayetteville Regional will see No. 1 Arkansas versus No. 4 Central Connecticut State. The tournament is scheduled to begin on Friday, May 31 and run through Monday.
This is the Frogs' 16th overall trip to the regionals. The previous 15 trips came in 1956, 1994, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017.
The winner of the Fayetteville Regional will play the winner of the Oxford (Ole Miss) Regional in the Super Regionals. The four teams in that region include, the host school, Ole Miss, Clemson, Illinois and Jacksonville State.
The Big 12 earned five bids to the tournament. Oklahoma State, Texas Tech and West Virginia were all selected as host sites. Baylor earned a No. 2 seed at the Los Angeles (UCLA) Regional. Texas Tech was tabbed the No. 8 national seed. Oklahoma State was selected as the No. 9 national seed and West Virginia is the tournament's No. 15 national seed.
