Frogs begin Monday at 8 p.m.
FORT WORTH, Texas – For the 30th-straight year, TCU men's golf will play in an NCAA Regional when the team tees off in Austin on Monday.
The Horned Frogs will begin on the No. 10 hole at 8 a.m. on Monday at the University of Texas Golf Club. No. 5 seed TCU will be paired with No. 4 seed Clemson and No. 6 seed Arkansas. The 14-team field will play 18 holes on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday with the top five teams advancing to the NCAA Championships, held May 25-30 at The Blessings Golf Club in Fayetteville, Ark. Also qualifying for nationals will be the top individual not on a top-five team.
TCU will go with the lineup of seniors Triston Fisher, Turner MacLean, Stefano Mazzoli, David Ravetto and Hayden Springer.

Built in the Texas Hill Country, The University of Texas Golf Club's championship course overlooks Lake Austin and borders the Belcones Natural Wildlife Preserve. The Horned Frogs last competed at the course in 2013 at the Morris Williams Intercollegiate.

LAST TIME OUT
TCU finished second to No. 1 ranked Oklahoma State at the Big 12 Men's Golf Championship on April 26, its best finish ever in the conference. Springer won the conference championship after fighting off the world's top-ranked amateur Viktor Hovland in the final round. Springer shot 8-under 202, which was the second-best 54-hole score ever at the Big 12 Championship. It was the seventh individual conference title for the Horned Frogs, the first since Julien Brun in 2014. Springer was named the Big 12 Men's Golfer of the Month for April on Tuesday.
TOUGH SCHEDULE
Once again, TCU has played one of the toughest schedules in the nation. According to GolfWeek, TCU's strength of schedule ranks No. 15 in the country. GolfWeek.com's Lance Ringler recently posted its list of the 75 best tournaments of the season of which TCU has played in four of the top five.
LOWER IN THE SPRING
On Thursday, Ringler came out with his spring-season rankings with TCU ranked 19th. The Frogs had three individuals ranked in the top 55 in the spring with Ravetto at No. 30, Springer at No. 45 and Mazzoli at No. 55.
NCAA REGIONAL HISTORY
All 30-straight regional bids have been achieved under Bill Montigel, now in his 32nd season as TCU's head coach. Only Clemson and UNLV have also qualified for 30-straight regionals under the same head coach. Last season, TCU finished eighth at the regional in Stockton, Calif. This season will be the first time in five seasons that TCU will play in a regional in Texas. In 2014, the Frogs finished sixth at Briggs Ranch Golf Club in San Antonio.
The best finish ever for TCU at a regional is second, three times, the last coming in 2016 in Albuquerque. The 2016 season, was the last time TCU qualified for the NCAA Championship, its 19th appearance in school history.
