TUCSON, Ariz. – TCU track and field will continue the outdoor season on Saturday when the team travels to the desert for the Jim Click Shootout hosted by the University of Arizona.
MEET INFO
TCU's first events will be the hammer and discus throws, scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. CT. The Horned Frog's first even on the track is scheduled for 7:35. The field includes host Arizona, USC, Purdue, Minnesota, and Oklahoma State. USC's women's team ranks No.1 in the USTFCCCA TFRI and Arizona's men rank No.18.

LAST TIME OUT: Texas Relays
Several Horned Frogs had strong outings at the Texas Relays a week ago. In the men's triple jump, Chengetayi Mapaya finished as the top collegian with a jump of 16.56m (54-4), also earning him the top jump in the nation and Big 12 Athlete of the Week honors.
Destiny Longmire competed well in the women's long jump, finishing second among collegians and only trailed 2019 NCAA Indoor Champion Jasmyn Steels. Longmire jumped 6.34m (20-9.75), an outdoor personal-best.
In the men's 4x400 relay, Darrion Flowers, Emmauel Ogwo, Jostyn Andrews, and Derrick Mokaleng ran together for the first time in 2019 and finished third with a time of 3:05.78. The group currently ranks No.3 in the NCAA West Region.
Tarrick Brock ran a wind-aided 10.21 in the men's 100m invitational and finished third overall.
Both of TCU's women's relays reached their respective finals in the meet. In the women's 4x100 relay, Hope Glenn, Longmire, Jenea Spinks, and Teleda Williams finished fourth with a time of 45.13. Asiah Fields, Kennedy Crawford, Kiana Banks, and Lily Beckford finished fourth as well in the women's 4x400 relay, recording a time of 3:37.57.
