Isola collects two hits in the loss
FORT WORTH – No. 9 Texas evened the series against No. 20 TCU with a 13-1 victory on Saturday night at Lupton Stadium. Alex Isola tallied a pair of hits in the loss.
The Rundown
Texas opened the scoring with a two-out, two-run home run from Zach Zubia in the first and never looked back.
TCU responded with a run in the bottom of the frame. Hunter Wolfe walked to open the inning and was followed by back-to-back singles from Josh Watson and Alex Isola. Wolfe scored on double play ball to make it a 2-1 ballgame.
Texas broke the game open in the middle frames, picking up 10 runs in innings 3 through 5. The Longhorns batted around in the third, scoring four times. After putting up a solo run in the fourth, Texas once again batted around in the fifth, scoring five two-out runs.
Jake Eissler (3-2) took the loss for the Horned Frogs. Spencer Arrighetti tossed 1 1/3 scoreless frames and James Notary pitched a perfect ninth inning with two strikeouts.

21 – Jake Guenther walked and recorded a hit in the game. He is the lone Horned Frog to have reached base in all 21 games this season.
