Mazzoli is tied for 24th
WAIKOLOA, Hawaii – For the second-straight day, four TCU men's golfers shot under par to put the Horned Frogs in eighth place after two rounds of the Amer Ari Invitational.
Senior Stefano Mazzoli shot 2-under 70 for the second consecutive day and is tied for 24th place at 4-under 140. Also for the second consecutive day, Mazzoli made an eagle, this time on the par 5 No. 4 hole, part of a 4-under 32 front nine.
Alejandro Aguilera and Hayden Springer each shot 1-under 71 are tied for 31st place at 3-under 141.
Competing as an individual, Justin Gums shot 2-under 70. The freshman, making his TCU debut this week, is tied for 44th place at 2-under 142.
TCU shot 4-under 284 as a team and trail No. 2-ranked Georgia by two strokes heading into the final round. No. 1 Oklahoma State leads the tournament at 36-under 540.
The final round will begin on Saturday with a shotgun start at 11:30 a.m. CT.
