Ravetto remains tied for third
PALM DESERT, Calif. – TCU improved by seven strokes and remains in third place after completing two rounds of the Wyoming Desert Intercollegiate Saturday at the Classic Club.
The Frogs shot 4-under 284 and will begin Sunday's final round one shot out of first place and three shots out of first place at 1-under 575. Texas Tech leads the tournament at 4-under 572 and Boise State is in second at 2-under 574.
Senior David Ravetto, who began the day tied for the lead, is tied with two others for second place at 5-under 139. He shot 1-under 71 on Saturday, one of four Horned Frogs to shoot at or under par. Ravetto trails Boise State's Skyler Eubank by three strokes for first place.
Senior Hayden Springer shot an even-par 72 for the second straight day and is tied for eighth. He had TCU's second eagle of the tournament on the par 5 No. 4 hole. Senior Stefano Mazzoli shot 3-under 69, TCU's best round of the day. He moved up 36 spots and is tied for 11th.
TCU will begin the final round at 10:40 a.m. CT.
