Honor is fourth for TCU this year
FORT WORTH – TCU women's soccer junior Yazmeen Ryan has been named the Big 12 Player of the Week for her efforts in helping TCU to a 1-0-1 record last weekend. The honor is the first of her career and the fourth for the Horned Frogs this season.
Ryan topped the conference with six points this past weekend, all coming off her three goals in two games. The midfielder has scored each of TCU's last five goals, helping the Horned Frogs to a 2-0 shutout over Oklahoma and 1-1 tie with No. 18 Oklahoma State. Ryan leads TCU with 19 points, tying her for third in the Conference, and has already set a career high with seven goals.
She joins Gracie Brian (Newcomer, Sept. 3), Emily Alvarado (Defensive, Sept. 3) and Grace Collins (Newcomer, Sept. 10) as TCU's 2019 honorees.
