
Brodziansky Joins Spanish Team

FORT WORTH, Texas -- Former TCU men's basketball player Vladimir Brodziansky has reached an agreement on a deal with Obradoiro of the Spanish Liga ACB.
The 6-10 forward will join the team, located in Santiago de Compostela, Galicia in Spain, days after playing in the 2018 NBA Summer League with the Cleveland Cavaliers. Brodziansky averaged 4.5 points and 2.8 rebounds in 11.8 minutes per game over six contests. In his final game with the Cavs, Brodziansky had 10 points and six rebounds in 21 minutes of action.
Brodziansky, an All-Big 12 Conference Third Team honoree, averaged 15.0 points per game as a senior last season, the 11th best in the conference. Of the 33 games played, Brodziansky scored in double-figures 29 times and shot 57.9 percent from the field, the third-best in the Big 12 and the seventh-best in any season in TCU history. The Slovakian also ranked seventh with 1.7 blocks per game.
Brodziansky, a Prievidza, Slovakia native, finished his TCU career tied for first all-time with 171 blocked shots and 11th all-time in scoring with 1,364 points. His career field goal percentage of 55.8 percent ranks fourth in TCU history.
Honors for Brodziansky this past season included being a Reece's College All-Star, named a Senior CLASS Award finalist, a Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Center of the Year Award finalist, AP All-Big 12 Honorable Mention, Academic All-District 7 and First Team Academic All-Big 12. He graduated with a degree in psychology.
Parrish Signs with German Team
Recent TCU graduate Brandon Parrish signed with FC Schalke 04, a professional team in Gelsenkirchen, Germany.
Parrish is TCU's all-time leader in games played. He graduated in 2017 after helping the Horned Frogs win the NIT championship. Parrish, an Arlington, Texas native, played last season for the Worcester Wolves of the British Basketball League.
