
Iqbal Qualifies for U.S. Women's Amateur

FORT WORTH, Texas -- TCU freshman Sabrina Iqbal has qualified for the 2018 U.S. Women's Golf Amateur Championship Aug. 6-12 at The Golf Club of Tennessee in Kingston Springs, Tenn.
Iqbal carded a 72 in her qualifier at the Sequoyah Country Club in Oakland, Calif. The San Jose native is a four-time Junior Tour of Northern California Player of the Year. She also won the 2016 California Women's Amateur Championship.
Iqbal is a two-time AJGA champion and Northern California Golf Association Women's Player of the Year. She tied for fifth at the 2017 Annika Invitational and was eighth at the 2017 Polo Golf Junior Classic. Additionally, she was the 2014 CIF state champion.
