June 5, 2018 FORT WORTH â€" A pair of TCU baseball pitchers were drafted on Day 2 of the 2018 Major League Baseball First Year Player Draft. The Boston Red Sox selected Durbin Feltman in the third round, while the Toronto Blue Jays made Sean Wymer their fourth-round pick.
Feltman, the 100th overall pick in the draft, has left his mark on the TCU record book. He is tied for the all-time career saves record with 32. As a sophomore, he saved a school-record 17 games, a mark that ranked second nationally.
Over the course of his career, Feltman has made 74 appearances and boasts a 5-3 record to go along with a 2.03 ERA. In 88 2/3 innings pitch, he has tallied 129 strikeouts. Feltman is a three-time All-Big 12 performer and a 2018 All-American.
Wymer, selected 116th overall, has been a staple on the mound in his time at TCU. He has made 12 starts as part of 61 appearances. The junior boasts a 15-7 career record with a 3.33 ERA in 162 1/3 innings pitched. Wymer has tallied 174 strikeouts and held opponents to a .230 batting average.
Wymer was a member of the 2017 USA Baseball Collegiate National team and earned Big 12 accolades as a sophomore.
This year marks the second time in program history that TCU has seen three players drafted in the first four rounds. In 2015, TCU had a trio of players selected in the first three rounds.
During his 15 seasons as TCU's head coach, Schlossnagle has seen 73 players drafted by 26 organizations.
