Cveticanin, a freshman from Brisbane, Australia, had an excellent week of matches, winning in straight sets against the competition from Iowa State and West Virginia. This helped the Horned Frogs extend their win streak to three before the Big 12 Tournament. She also went undefeated in doubles action with partner Aleksandra Zenovka. Cveticanin beat ISU's Cancini 6-2, 6-4 and WVU's Jordan 6-0, 6-3.
Cveticanin and the women's tennis team hope to keep the win streak going as they head down to Austin to play in the Big 12 Conference Championships from April 26-29.
Johnson, a senior from Las Vegas, Nev., won his sixth straight singles match and eighth straight doubles match to help the Frogs win the Big 12 regular season title for the third straight year. Johnson and doubles partner Alastair Gray clinched the doubles point against Baylor to give the Frogs the early lead. He won both of his singles matches in straight sets, beating Baylor's #79 Petersen 6-3, 6-4 and Texas Tech's #124 Mylnikov 6-3, 6-3.
Johnson and the men's tennis team will play in the Big 12 Conference Championships as the No. 1 seed starting on April 18.
