TCU defensive end had a career-high 10 tackles, including four for a loss, in the win at Baylor
IRVING, Texas -- The Big 12 Conference has announced TCU defensive end Ben Banogu as its Defensive Player of the Week for his performance in the 16-9 win at Baylor.
Banogu had a TCU career-high and team-best 10 tackles, including four stops for a loss, with a sack and forced fumble. He had a tackle for loss and a forced fumble on Baylor's opening two snaps of the game.
A senior from McKinney, Texas, and the Big 12 Preseason Defensive Player of the Year, Banogu tops the Horned Frogs in tackles for loss (16.0), sacks (7.5), forced fumbles (2) and fumbles recovered (2). He is in the top three in the Big 12 in all four categories.
