* TCU defeated Baylor for the fourth straight year and is now 5-2 against the Bears since beginning Big 12 play in 2012.
* TCU's four straight victories over Baylor represent its longest winning streak in the series since a run of eight straight from 1964-71.
* TCU's Gary Patterson improved to 8-3 as a head coach versus Baylor.

* Fifth-year senior and graduate student quarterback Grayson Muehlstein saw the first first-half action of his TCU career when Mike Collins left the game with an injury in the first quarter. Collins was starting in place of an injured Shawn Robinson.
* Muehlstein's first career touchdown pass was a 65-yard connection to Jalen Reagor.
* Muehlstein finished 11-of-15 for 137 yards and a touchdown. He entered the game with one career completion.
* Reagor's 65-yard touchdown catch was the 16th of his career, tying him with Stanley Washington (1979-82) for fifth place on TCU's all-time list.
* Reagor has a touchdown catch in a career-best six consecutive games, tying Josh Doctson's school record from 2015. Doctson had multiple scoring grabs in each of his six games.
