Team Notes
* Dating back to last season and including the 2017 Big 12 Championship Game, TCU played Oklahoma for the third time in its past 12 games.
* Three of TCU's four losses this season are to teams ranked in the top 10: No. 2 Ohio State, No. 7 Texas and No. 9 Oklahoma.
* The Horned Frogs played their seventh consecutive game in the state of Texas to open the season.
* Over the last five seasons, TCU's 43-17 overall record and 27-13 conference mark rank second in the Big 12.
* TCU dropped to 5-6 in its last 11 games versus top-10 teams.
* TCU fell to 84-21 in 18 seasons under head coach Gary Patterson at Amon G. Carter Stadium.

* KaVontae Turpin's 99-yard kickoff return for a touchdown extended his school career record to six special teams touchdowns (four punt returns, two kickoff returns).
* The 99-yard return was a career-long for Turpin and tied for the eighth-longest in TCU history. It was also the longest surrendered by Oklahoma since 2011 (100 yards, Fozzy Whittaker, Texas).
* Turpin added a 41-yard second-quarter touchdown reception from Mike Collins. It was his 13th career scoring grab, tying him with Jimmy Young (2007-10), LaTarence Dunbar (1999-02) and Kelly Blackwell (1988-91) for seventh place in TCU history.
* Turpin is the first Horned Frog with kickoff return and receiving touchdowns in the same game since Cory Rodgers at BYU in 2005.
* Turpin's team-best five receptions for 62 yards gave him 145 in his career, leaving him two shy of Young (147, 2007-10) for seventh on TCU's career list.
* Jalen Reagor's 33-yard touchdown catch from Collins was his 12th career touchdown reception, tying him with Jeremy Kerley (2007-10) and Phillip Epps (1978-81) for 10th on TCU's all-time list.
