Lodolo (5-1) was brilliant through eight innings against Texas Tech on Friday night, limiting the Red Raiders to just seven base runners in the game. He was aided by a pair of double plays and finished the game allowing just four hits and striking out four while walking three (one intentionally). He only faced more than four batters in an inning once. After a one-out walk in the sixth, he retired the final eight batters he faced.
Lodolo's dominating performance on the mound led the Horned Frogs to a 4-1 win in the Big 12 match-up. TCU (31-11, 12-6) will conclude an in-progress game against ACU Tuesday night before hosting Texas for a three-game home series this weekend.
Norrie and the TCU men's tennis team claimed the 2017 Big 12 Tournament title for the second consecutive season with a 4-0 sweep of No. 41 Texas Tech on Saturday morning. Norrie was named Most Outstanding Player for the second straight season, becoming the only player in conference history to earn the honor in consecutive tournaments.
Norrie finishes his TCU career with an 11-0 record in the three Big 12 tournaments he has participated in with a 6-0 mark in singles and a 5-0 mark in doubles after defeating No. 29 Jolan Cailleau of Texas Tech, 6-1, 6-3, and securing a doubles victory with Trevor Johnson, 6-2.
Adding to his honors, Norrie was named to the 2017 Big 12 Tennis All-Tournament team. The Frogs are currently awaiting their selection into the NCAA Championship, which will be announced on Tuesday, May 2 at 4 p.m.
