The Rundown
Texas Tech took an early lead in the contest, taking advantage of a bases-loaded wild pitch with two outs to make it 1-0.
The Horned Frogs responded quickly, tying the game on a solo home run off the bat of Luken Baker to lead off the second. TCU grabbed its first lead in the top of the third as Evan Skoug scored on an errant throw by the Red Raiders as they tried to complete an inning-ending double play.
After Texas Tech had tied the game on another wild pitch in the bottom of the fourth, TCU bounced back with two in the fifth. Skoug singled to drive in Austen Wade with the go-ahead run. A Baker sacrifice fly pushed the lead to two, 4-2.
Texas Tech got a solo home run in the fifth to pull within one and a three-run home run in the sixth to erase the deficit for a 6-4 lead. The Red Raider bullpen made the lead hold as it allowed just five base runners over the final four innings of the game.
