FORT WORTH - Baseball's Evan Skoug and soccer's Lauren Sajewich were named the TCU Fellowship of Christian Athletes Bob Lilly Athletes of the Year award recipients for the 2016-17 academic year.
Skoug is baseball's second recipient of the award, joining Mitchell Traver who was selected in 2013. A junior on the baseball team, Skoug has been a key cog in the TCU lineup all season. He has started all 31 games and is hitting .254 with five home runs and 29 RBIs.
Sajewich recently wrapped up a stellar four year career in the Purple and White. In her final campaign, she helped lead the women's soccer program to its first-ever berth in the NCAA Tournament. She started all 21 games and tallied a goal and two assists. A defender on the squad, she helped the Horned Frogs post eight shutouts this season.
