The Rundown
Entering the bottom of the eighth facing a 5-3 deficit, the Frogs bats came alive. Luken Baker opened the frame with his fifth home run of the season. Two batters later, Nolan Brown tied the game with a solo shot to right.
Ryan Merrill reached base safely on a passed ball following a strikeout. After a stolen base, the Cowboys intentionally walked Michael Landestoy. Wade jumped all over the first pitch he saw, sending it to deep left field for a two-run double and a 7-5 lead.
Durbin Feltman (S, 5) pitched around a pair of base runners in the ninth to lock up Haylen Green's (1-0) first career victory. The freshman came on in the eight and struck out the only batter he faced on three pitches.
TCU faced an early 2-0 deficit heading into the fifth. With two on and one out, Evan Skoug put the Frogs on top, 3-2, with one swing of the bat. His third home run of the season cleared the right field fence.
The Cowboys wasted little time tying the game in the seventh. A two-out single from Jon Littell put Oklahoma State up 5-3 in the top of the eighth, setting up the Frogs late rally.
