
TCU Back in Texas for Bob Sitton Invite

FORT WORTH, Texas – For the first time this spring, the TCU men's golf team will compete in the state of Texas when it competes at the Bob Sitton invitational Tuesday through Thursday.
In Dallas, the Frogs will go with the lineup of senior Chelso Barrett, sophomore Triston Fisher, sophomore Turner MacLean, sophomore Stefano Mazzoli and sophomore Pierre Mazier.
How to Follow
TCU will begin the three-round tournament on Tuesday at 10:45 a.m. when Fisher tees off. The Frogs will be playing alongside individuals from Eastern Kentucky and Oral Roberts.

The Course
The tournament will take place at the par 72, 6,750-yard TPC Four Seasons in Dallas, home of the PGA Tour's Byron Nelson Championship. Oral Roberts is the host school for the event.
Originally designed in 1982 by Jay Morrish, with player consultants Byron Nelson and Ben Crenshaw, the course was redesigned in 2008 by former PGA TOUR and current Champions Tour player D.A. Weibring and his partner architect Steve Wolfard. PGA TOUR player consultants were Harrison Frazar and J.J. Henry.
The Field
The 24-team field is Abilene Christian, Arkansas State, Central Arkansas, Eastern Kentucky, Green Bay, Houston Baptist, Idaho, Illinois State, Lamar, Long Beach State, Louisiana Tech, Missouri State, Nicholls State, Northern Colorado, Northern Iowa, Oral Roberts, Sothern Miss, St. John's, Stephen F. Austin, TCU, Texas State, UT Arlington, UT Rio Grande Valley, Western Kentucky.
Arkansas State is the highest-ranking team of the group at No. 24. TCU holds a ranking of 57. Last Time Out
In a loaded field, with 12 of the 15 teams ranked in the top 50 nationally, the Frogs finished 14th at the Southern Highlands Collegiate in Las Vegas. TCU finished ahead of No. 22 San Diego State. Sophomore Pierre Mazier led the Frogs as the sophomore tied for 29th place with a 5-over 221. Senior Chelso Barrett was TCU's No. 2 golfer, placing tied for 34th at 7-over 223.

Chelso Barrett (Sr.) – Was TCU's third finisher in the spring opener, the Ameri Ari Tournament; finished in top 15 in first three tournaments in the fall; 2016 PING All-America Honorable Mention; finished 13th at 2016 NCAA Championships
Triston Fisher (So.) – Shot a season-best 3-over 219 at the Wyoming Desert Intercollegiate; shot a career-best 4-over 219 at the Nike Collegiate Invitational as a freshman; Played in five tournaments as a freshman
Stefano Mazzoli (So.) – Shot a career-best 8-under 208 and finished third at the Wyoming Desert Intercollegiate; Had two sub-70 rounds at the Wyoming Desert Intercollegiate for the first time in his career; Finished tied for 33rd place and had a career-low opening round score of 65 at the Amer Ari Invitational; Finished 28th at Nike Collegiate Invitational; won USF Olympic Invitational at The Olympic Club for first career win; was the only current college player in the 2016 Open Championship field
Turner MacLean (So.) – Shot an even-par 216 at the Wyoming Desert Intercollegiate; Opened the fall season with a career-best 6-under 210 to finish in a tie for 11th place at the Carmel Cup at Pebble Beach; Played in seven tournaments as a freshman
Pierre Mazier (So.) – TCU's top finisher at the Southern Highlands Collegiate; Shot a 69 in the final round of the Wyoming Desert Intercollegiate to finish in a tie for ninth place at 3-under 213; Was TCU's top finisher at the Ameri Ari Tournament with a score of 8-under 208 to finish in 13th place; Shot under 70 for the first time in his career and did so two times at the Ameri Ari Tournament with a 69 in the second round and a career-low 68 in the final round; Placed 45th (+8) at the Carmel Cup, TCU's fall opener
