
TCU Takes Winning Streak to Waco Saturday

FORT WORTH, Texas -- Riding a three-game conference winning streak for the first time since 2008, TCU (17-7, 6-5) will play at No. 6 Baylor (21-3, 8-3) Saturday at 1 p.m. in the Farrell Center.
The game will be broadcast on ESPNU with Dave Armstrong (Play-By-Play) and Bryndon Manzer (Color) calling the action. The game can also be heard on KLIF AM 570, KTCU 88.7 FM, FrogVision or TuneIn Radio.
THE OPPONENT
Baylor is 21-3 overall, 8-3 in the Big 12 Conference following a 72-69 win at Oklahoma State on Wednesday. The Bears had dropped two-straight games prior to the win over the Cowboys. Baylor is led in scoring and rebounding by Johnathan Motley, who ranks fourth in the Big 12 with 16.6 points per game and first with 9.8 rebounds per game.
THE SERIES
Baylor leads the all-time series 99-81 with a 51-36 advantage in Waco. The Bears won the first meeting of the season, 62-53, on Jan. 21 in front of a crowd of 7,276, the third-largest crowd in TCU history. Vladimir Brodziansky led the Frogs with 19 points and 10 rebounds in a game that featured five ties and 13 lead changes after halftime. Kenrich Williams also had a double-double with 16 points and 12 rebounds. The Frogs, who held a 48-47 lead with 5:27 remaining, turned the ball over just eight times, but shot 29.3 percent from the field. TCU's last win over Baylor came on Dec. 7, 2002, 72-64, in Waco.
VS. RANKED OPPONENTS
TCU will be trying for its first win over an AP Top 25 team since a 70-55 win over No. 21 Oklahoma State on Feb. 14, 2015. The Frogs have lost its last 19 games against ranked opponents. A TCU win on Saturday at No. 6 Baylor would be the highest ranked team the Frogs have taken down since a 62-55 win over No. 5 Kansas on Feb. 6, 2013. TCU has lost 38-straight against ranked teams on the road with the last win coming on Jan. 19, 1998 at No. 24 Hawaii.
IT'S MILLER TIME
JD Miller is 9-of-11 from 3-point range in the last three games. The sophomore has made at least one 3-pointer in each of the last five games after not having any in the previous six contests. The four 3-pointers Miller had in wins at Kansas State and against Texas Tech were career highs. Miller has averaged 14.3 points and 4.8 rebounds in the last four games. He is 6-for-7 from 3-point range in the second half of the last three games.

TCU has made 10 or more 3-pointers in a game four times this season including a season-high 11 threes against Jacksonville State. In the four seasons prior to this one, TCU had just three games where it hit at least 10 3-pointers. The Frogs had nine-such games during the 2011-12 season.
