Scouting Oklahoma
Oklahoma comes to TCU after a 79-71 road loss to Kansas State on Tuesday. The Sooners trailed by 16 at halftime, got the deficit down to one point in the fourth quarter, but never could take the lead.
Prior to that loss, OU had won five straight games, including handing Texas its first Big 12 loss last Saturday in Norman. Peyton Little hit a go-ahead three-pointer with two seconds remaining in that 74-73 win.
Little is the Sooners leading scorer at 13.1 points per game. Maddie Manning is just behind with 12.6 per game and returned from injury against K-State after missing the previous three games. Vionise Pierre-Louis averages 11.9 points and 8.3 rebounds per game and has come off the bench in every Big 12 game.
The Series
Oklahoma leads the all-time series against TCU, 20-4, including a win earlier this season in Norman, 87-72. OU has won five straight in the series.
The first meeting this season was back on Jan. 1 and TCU led 41-37 at halftime, but shot just 3-of-18 in the third quarter as Oklahoma quickly erased the deficit. The Sooners oustscored TCU in third, 26-11, and in the entire second half, 50-31, to grab the win.
All four of TCU's win in the series have come at home, with the most recent coming in 2013-14. That is TCU's lone win against Oklahoma as a Big 12 member.
